The customer asked us to install black aluminum cable rail post with an ipe wood rail that would provide security on their deck and also maintain the views of the beautiful natural surroundings of their property. The cable rail blends seamlessly with the woodwork of the deck and allows for unencumbered views of the ocean.
The cable rail posts were fascia or side mounted to the deck, and to support the ipe wood railing is a thin u-channel of aluminum. All fittings and cables are made from 316 stainless steel for superior rust resistance. The cable is 1/8" in diameter, and the fittings are neatly hidden inside the posts for a clean finish.
